Editorial Process

Prior to publication of educational articles four important benchmarks are considered by our Education Advisory Team and our site content Editor;

Contemporary - does the publication represent an acceptable standard of up to date information at the time of publication?

Quality - does the publication meet our standards for; quality of information & construct, and accessibility for an audience with diverse range of educational backgrounds?

Evidence Based Practice (EBP) - EBP is an interdisciplinary approach to clinical practice which has been adopted by the majority of health care professions and has its origins from the medical profession who use 'evidenced based medicine'. Adopting EBP requires that procedures and services to clients/patients are subjected to two guiding principles;

1) It is based upon [sic credible] research and client/patient studies.
&
2) That the research studies are selected and interpreted according to some specific norms [sic appropriate to the field of practice].

Evidence Based Practice in conjunction with full compliance with all regulatory requirements is sometimes referred to by the term 'Best Practice'.

In essence by making all best efforts to adopt EBP Cosmetic & Medical Tattooists are saying there is credible evidence for what we do and it is based upon the best information available to us, i.e. we aspire to 'Best Practice'.

Unique - in relation to educational articles CTshop.com.au has a 'unique publication policy' i.e. in most instances the article has been previously published in its entirety or form prior to publication by us and once the article has been published it must not be republished without our prior written consent.

Under exclusive partnership arrangements some educational articles may be published as joint publications both on CTshop.com.au and via one or our media partners, in this instance the article will be regarded as a join publication.

Our rigorous approach to educational publications ensures that our articles are the very best available and they set the benchmark for the industry internationally for 'Best Practice'. As you can appreciate it involves the commitment of a great deal of resources to create and publish world class articles authored by leading international experts.

All content on CTshop.com.au is under strict copyright to the author and CTshop.com.au articles must not be copied or reproduced or otherwise dealt with in any way without the express written consent of the copyright holders.

Requests for Reproduction or Use of Site Content

If you would like to reproduce or have a pdf or hard copy of any publication then you must first;

Be an existing customer of CTshop.com.au
Identify the requesting party, i.e. the full name and address of the person making the request.
Precisely identify the site content you would like to make use of.
Inform us precisely why you are requesting a copy of our site content and what the exact purpose is that you would like our consent for your use.
Notify us if you are one of existing customers, requests from those who are not customers will not be given consideration.

NB. Only customers whom are in good standing with us and whom also provide an acceptable reason for requesting a copy of site content are given consideration to be granted permission for use of any of educational content via a 'limited use license agreement'. Any requests that do not meet the above criteria will not be considered. If a request is granted then fees may apply for administrative time, printing & postage, and royalties will be applicable for any form commercial use.

Of course our site visitors can always return to our site and read our site content at no charge.

How to Reference CTshop.com.au Articles

If you wish to reference one of our educational articles it is important to ensure that the article is reference in accordance with our conventions and that the author is provided attribution. The correct format is as per below;

If you wish to include a hyperlink to the article then the hyperlink should be applied to the article title as per the above. For example;

It is important to note that any of our educational articles may be subject to revisions as and when we see fit and time permitting for the articles author, original publication and revision dates are normally indicated at the bottom of the article.

Mutatis Mutandis (latin): definition "with [sic only] those things having been changed which need to be changed."

If a revision is noted with mutatis mutandis this simply means that only a minor revision was conducted to correct typographical errors, broken links, formatting, structural construct etc rather than a substantial revision of content.
